China, various African countries sign cooperation pacts worth $170m
Six Chinese provinces also jointly signed an agreement to advance economic cooperation and trade exchanges with African countries at the conference, which also promoted the Pilot Zone for Deeper China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation, Chinese state media reported.
China and various African countries recently signed 14 agreements worth about 170 million U.S. dollars at the China (Hunan)-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Promoting Conference in Changsha, central Hunan Province. The agreements covered areas such as regional cooperation, strategic agreements, project financing, investment cooperation and government procurement.
Twenty-nine diplomatic envoys from 15 African countries, including Algeria, Ethiopia, Angola, Ghana and Kenya, attended the event.
