GAMA in Turkey chooses Infor CloudSuite to improve productivity
Established in Gaziantep, Turkey in 1997, GAMA has become the largest producer of recycled plastic yarn and fiber in the world. Recycling textile products and R-PET (polyethylene terephthalate) flakes, its production process is riskier and more complex than others that use virgin materials.
Infor, the industry cloud company, announced that plastic recycler and yarn manufacturer GAMA Recycle Sustainable Technologies has selected Infor CloudSuite Industrial Enterprise. The platform is expected to help accelerate value streams and reduce lead times, as well as help GAMA increase market share and increase transparency and productivity.
This complexity, combined with the volatility of the supply chain post-Brexit and the pandemic, has led to the need for a modern ERP to support improved end-to-end collaboration in GAMA’s supply chain. Fundamentally, ERP was to streamline operations by reducing errors and operational failures, ensure quality consistency and improve customer experience, the company said in a press release.
Following a market assessment, GAMA selected Infor CloudSuite Industrial Enterprise powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS), based on its simplified, preconfigured business processes, developed in accordance with industry-specific experience and expertise . The multi-tenant cloud application will be deployed by partner Infor Enigma Business Solutions and is expected to go live in October 2022.
“Increased demand for sustainably produced personalized products has created a need for increased transparency across the entire supply chain,” said Zafer Kaplan, President of GAMA. “To meet the needs of a dispersed and rapidly changing market, it is important that we foster collaboration across the entire value chain, from suppliers to customers. By doing so, we can be agile in assessing and managing market changes, and deliver the quality of product and service that our customers expect.”
“By leveraging the capabilities of Infor CloudSuite Industrial Enterprise, we are able to digitally connect all of our processes, enabling us to work more sustainably and efficiently, optimizing our organizational structure and improving our business model. supply of products and services,” Kaplan added.
“Due to digital advancements and rising consumer expectations in the marketplace, our customers feel the need for more exceptional speed and adaptability in their business,” said Reslen Eroglu, Managing Partner of Enigma Business Solutions. Building an organization that can respond quickly and appropriately to new challenges and opportunities requires the right strategy and, above all, the right digital infrastructure that can adapt and evolve proportionately, to capitalize on new market demands and instill a culture of resilience.
