IRSG unveils high-level programming for the 2021 World Rubber Summit
Singapore – The International Rubber Study Group (IRSG) has announced the full list of speakers who will attend the upcoming World Rubber Summit (WRS) 2021 to be held as a virtual event from June 8-11.
The event, on the theme of inclusiveness, sustainability and “growth for the next normal”, will be opened by the Ivorian Prime Minister, Jérôme Patrick Achi, the Minister of Agriculture and Development of the country Kobenan Kouassi Adjoumani, President of IRSG Aly Touré and Secretary General of IRSG. Salvatore Pinizzotto on the afternoon of June 8, Singapore time.
Opening speeches on the first day will be delivered by representatives of the United Nations Environment Program, the European Commission and the World Bank and will review the economic recovery, sustainability and market dynamics after the crisis .
The second and third days of the event will explore growing trends such as new mobility, sustainable development, digitization, climate change and the development of a “green economy”.
Sessions will also include presentations on sustainability trends as well as Africa’s role in the rubber industry.
The fourth day will feature presentations on natural rubber financing and pricing strategies, as well as a tire industry panel discussion moderated by Prabhash Subasinghe, Managing Director of GRI,.
Panelists include Fazilet Cinaralp, Secretary General of the European Tire and Rubber Manufacturers Association (ETRMA); Mary Xu, president of the Chinese Rubber Industry Association (CRIA); Anne Forristall Luke, President and CEO, US Tire Manufacturers Associations (USTMA) and Salvatore Pinizzotto.
