JCC adds five faculty members | News, Sports, Jobs
Jamestown Community College is welcoming five new full-time faculty for the 2022-23 academic year.
Jonathan Blair joins the faculty as an information technology instructor at the Jamestown campus. Blair holds a master’s degree in computer science from Regis University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. Blair comes to JCC from St. Johns River State College in Palatka, Florida, where he taught computer science.
Dion Daly is Assistant Professor of Business/Economics/Global Studies at the Jamestown campus. Daly holds a doctorate in educational leadership and policy from the University at Buffalo, an MBA from D’Youville, a master’s degree in personnel administration from Buffalo State College, and a bachelor’s degree in UB business administration. Daly, who has previously taught business courses as an assistant instructor for JCC, comes from Collège D’Youville.
Heather Metzger is a lecturer in teacher education at the Jamestown campus. Metzger holds a master’s degree in education, business and distributive education, and a bachelor’s degree in business and distributive education from Buffalo State College. Metzger previously taught teacher training courses as an assistant instructor for JCC. She comes from Cattaraugus-Little Valley Central School, where she taught math.
Sara Luther is a nursing educator at the Jamestown campus. Luther is completing a master’s degree in nursing from Chamberlain University. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Eastern Kentucky University and a Nursing Diploma from JCC. Luther comes to JCC from the Venango Technology Center School of Nursing.
Timothy Piazza is an assistant professor of engineering science and technology at the Jamestown campus. Piazza holds a Ph.D. in Experimental Physics from SUNY Stony Brook, a BS in Physics from SUNY Albany, and an Associate of Science from JCC. Piazza comes to JCC from the South End Manufacturers Association, where he was a talent pool and learning coordinator. He previously worked full-time and as an adjunct professor at the JCC.
