SRMA offers free trial membership to help Ian recover | News, Sports, Jobs
The Southwest Regional Manufacturers Association (SRMA) offers a wide range of informational and networking events for manufacturers in the Southwest Florida region, as well as a nationwide network of resources that has been crucial to the efforts of recovery from Hurricane Ian for many SWFL manufacturing companies. Although membership dues are inexpensive, the SRMA understands that manufacturers have more pressing issues to address in the wake of the storm. The organization therefore opens free access for six months to manufacturers who register before December 31.
“Many members across the state have asked how they can help manufacturers recover from Hurricane Ian in the Southwest region,” said Rob Harris, Executive Director of SRMA. “Communication is key to sharing these available resources and joining SRMA and enjoying our member benefits will allow these connections to happen.”
The SRMA Network of Business Advisors can help identify and locate resources to assist Florida manufacturers based on their unique needs. Being an SRMA member gives you access to:
SRMA Community network where you can post requests and questions to other community members, including:
• All SRMA members via the SRMA open forum
• Members of other Regional Manufacturers Associations (RMAs) and various resource providers across the state via the FloridaMakes Open Forum

• Enter a statement of capabilities, allowing other manufacturers in need to find you;

SRMA also offers monthly events and training opportunities for members and manufacturing professionals (non-members). The upcoming Nov. 17 seminar, to be held at CareerSource Southwest, focuses on the hidden talent pool of people with various disabilities. Representatives from The Able Trust and CareerSource Southwest will explain why and how you can hire this group of enthusiastic people into your workforce.
