While discussing numerous concerns, two employees of two separate shops in Bazar Peth district of Kalyan West got into a physical altercation over rising inflation under the administration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who left a seriously injured worker. The incident took place on Friday and Bazar Peth police have filed a complaint against the suspects. So far, no one has been taken into custody.
When there were no customers in their respective stores, the two workers evoked the suffering of the poor and the common people because of inflation. One of the workers claimed that under Modi’s rule economic policies were poor and as a result inflation was on the rise. The other worker disagreed and an argument ensued.
The accused has been identified as Manish Gupta while the victim is Dheeraj Pandey. Pandey worked in a clothing store, while Gupta worked in a store that sold kitchen utensils.
Speaking to FPJ Correspondent, Narendra Patil, Senior Police Inspector of Bazaar Peth Police Station in Kalyan, said: “Defendant Manish Gupta and victim Dheeraj Pandey work as laborers in a shop adjacent to two warehouses distinct in the Bazar Peth district of Kalyan. afternoon, when there were no customers in their respective stores, they got together, and over a cup of tea, they discussed the rising inflation in the country and the fate of the population. During the discussion, Dheeraj Pandey talked about the debt of the country, the budget presented by the central government and its poor implementation. As Manish Gupta is a strong supporter of Narendra Modi, he did not like Gupta’s views and this led to a verbal argument between Dheeraj and Manish. The affair turned into a fight, and in a fit of anger, Manish hit Dheeraj over the head with the cooker lid. Dheeraj was injured during the fight and he was admitted to a private hospital where he was discharged point after point.”
Patil added, “When the owner of the two stores came after seeing the fight, in order to avoid a fight, he came to Bazar Peth police station and informed about the incident. Dheeraj Pandey complained against Manish Gupta, and as a result, we registered a case under Section 324 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against Manish Gupta and issued him a notice not to get involved in such types of fights in the future. Since this is a bail office, we did not arrest the accused but issued the notice to him. “
