UBG spokesperson steps up criticism of Magoo – Pakistan
LAHORE: United Business Group (UBG) spokesman Gulzar Feroz said BMP days are numbered in FPCCI because it now has a narrow loophole to survive. Nasir Hayatt Magoo’s unauthorized stay for eight months at the FPCCI as president will soon end.
He said that Nasir Magoo only used all his energies to throw dust in the eyes of the affected neighborhoods to prolong his illegitimate stay causing extensive damage to the FPCCI nationally and internationally.
Gulzar Feroze has stated that BMP and Nasir Magoo emanate out of frustration by issuing false, fictitious and baseless statements contrary to the real facts and again attempting to hide the realities.
It is quite surprising that BMP which was against the DGTO now proves its loyalty and favoritism towards it, added the spokesperson.
UBG spokesman Gulzar Feroze said the record also reveals that Nasir Magoo filed a complaint in 2021 (-758) dated 04-14-21 before the Honorable High Court of Sindh against DGTO, alleging various accusations, in particular his bias, his bad faith, his injustice, his implication. in the event of misconduct, exercising his powers beyond his competence, having the spirit of prejudice. The provisional order of the DGTO dated March 2021 for the examination of the FPCCI ballot record was also challenged in the said action, because its exercise of the competence of power was characterized as illegal.
Nasir Magoo requested in said lawsuit to appoint any other officer to act as regulator because he (Nasir Magoo was afraid of the decision under paragraph 3 (f) of article 14 of the TOA which empowers the DGTO to cancel the results of any trade body election within 14 days.
Said request by Nasir Magoo was rejected by the Honorable High Court under article 30 of the TO law of 19-05-21. The complaint lodged by Nasir Magoo was not sustainable because the entire mechanism is provided for in the TO law for the settlement of the electoral dispute which was already pending before the DGTO. Thus, the intention of Nasir Magoo was to try to circumvent the electoral procedure before the DGTO.
Feroz said that BMP and Nasir Magoo once again resorted to deception from the business community and the Ministry of Commerce who are now very much aware of the real facts and of the embezzlement and embezzlement carried out by BMP with the connivance of the Election Commission of the FPCCI.
Evidence has proven that Nasir Magoo illegally occupied the office of President FPCCI tarnishing the image of the Supreme Body.
The spokesperson further said that the electoral commission formed by BMP last year was biased and suspicious; he was involved in manipulation in the 2021 electoral process which was subsequently proven by documentary evidence.
The Election Commission illegally allowed illegitimate business bodies, namely Pakistan-Afghanistan Mixed Chamber (PAJC), Loralai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Loralai CCI) to vote while the license of the former was issued on December 29, 2020 and the later license was canceled by the DGTO for non-compliance of TOA and TOR 2013.
The DGTO office submitted its written statement to the Honorable Sindh High Court that the two trade bodies illegally voted with the illegal support of the Election Commission illegally authorized them.
The Pakistan Chemical Manufacturers Association was also illegally allowed by the biased electoral commission to vote. All documentary evidence was provided to the DGTO office and adjudication of the case to the OMBT office and the hearing of this matter took place on August 29, 2021.
UBG spokesman further said that Nasir Magoo, in order to extend his illegal stay, also resorted to false accusations against Khalid Tawab, who won the election of FPCCI president.
Khalid Tawab has been a bona fide and lawful member of the Pakistan Iron Steel Merchants Association for over two decades. regularly file income tax returns and sales tax returns.
His company M / s F Rabi Steel Pvt Ltd is actively incorporated into SECP by regularly completing the required forms. In addition, he had the privilege of being awarded export prizes by the FPCCI.
Gulzar Feroze said there was now no justification for further prolonging the illegal stay of Nasir Magoo who recorded a history of embezzlement, bad faith, tarnishing of the FPCCI’s image, looting of the finances of the FPCCI and blackmail.
It was further stated by Gulzar Feroze that it was the height of shame during the Pakistani Prime Minister’s recent visit to Tajikistan when Nasir Magoo’s uncle Khalid Amin tarnished Pakistan’s image in a commercial form that was d ‘of immense importance and being chaired by the Prime Minister.
The question arises who recommended Khalid Amin for the delegation, what is his profile. Gulzar Feroze also called for an investigation into a grant of one crore rupee to Khalid Amin on the accounts of the FPCCI.
